The Living Room Theatre, continuing its commitment to fostering KC-original work, will bring Shakespeare’s THE TRAGEDY OF MACBETH to the stage in an all new adaptation by Kyle Hatley.

Directed, and co-starring Hatley, alongside Natalie Liccardello, this 90-minute retelling will feature an original score composed and performed live by Sean Hogge.

According to the press release, three players walk into a room, each of them carries the things they need to tell their story, what happens next is their haunting take on an old and cautionary tale, a rumor, a myth, a parable. It is a story they know well. One they must tell today and will surely tell again tomorrow. Two play all the roles, while the third scores the story live, but all three players must summon the courage to share their dark and terrifyingly close look into a bloody marriage and the fear that compels them to commit their crimes.

THE TRAGEDY OF MACBETH runs August 9th – September 3rd at The Living Room Theatre, 1818 McGee St, Kansas City, MO 64108
The show is BYOB. For more information visit thelivingroomkc.com.
