The Barn Players have announced Broadway actor Nancy Opel will lead a morning musical masterclass and join them for an evening meet and greet after the April 28th production of URINETOWN.
The three-hour master class titled, FEARLESS VOICE 2, will feature a vocal warmup that Opel calls “both time-effective and amazing for improving breath, support, and intonation.”
Opel, a Prairie Village, KS native, has appeared in the original New York productions of “Evita” (title role), “Anything Goes,” “Sunday In The Park With George,” “Gypsy,” “The Toxic Avenger,” Memphis,” “Beautiful,” “Cinderella,” and most recently “Curvy Widow.” She was honored with a Tony nomination for her work as Penelope Pennywise in the original Broadway production of “Urinetown.”
Opel’s “Fearless Voice 2” will be held Saturday, April 28th from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. in the Barn Players downtown home at The Arts Asylum. Participation costs $100 or $50 to audit only. The class is intended for older teenagers and adults. To register visit barnfearless.brownpapertickets.com.
The Barn Players production of URINETOWN runs April 19th – 29th. For more information visit thebarnplayers.org.
