Quality Hill Playhouse will celebrate the man who put the words in the mouth of legendary singer Frank Sinatra, songwriter Sammy Cahn in SINATRA’S SONGWRITER: THE GENIUS OF SAMMY CAHN, an original cabaret revue opening June 8.

Conceived and directed by Producing Artistic Director J. Kent Barnhart, the production features vocalists Lauren Bradshaw, Lauren Braton, and Joseph Carr with Barnhart on piano, Ken Remmert on drums, and Ben Tervort on bass.

From the press release: “Sammy Cahn and Frank Sinatra had a unique and highly successful musical partnership that resulted in 87 hits for Sinatra and four Best Song Academy Awards for Cahn: ‘Three Coins in the Fountain’ (1954), ‘All The Way’ (1957), ‘High Hopes’ (1959), and ‘Call Me Irresponsible’ (1963). From the highest of the highs (‘Come Fly With Me’), to the lowest of the lows (‘Guess I’ll Hang My Tears Out To Dry’), to all of the happiness in between (‘Love and Marriage’), Cahn could translate Sinatra’s creative ideas into the perfect lyrics.”

SINATRA’S SONGWRITER, the final production of the 2017-2018 Season, runs June 8th – July 8th at Quality Hill Playhouse, 303 W. 10th Street, Kansas City, Mo. For more information visit QualityHillPlayhouse.com.
