Following the announcement this past spring of Managing Director Jason Kralicek’s departure, Unicorn Theatre has announced the addition of two new staff positions along with the promotion of Ian R. Crawford to associate artistic director.
Crawfod, who served as Development Director for the last three years, and is currently directing HIR for Unicorn, will work alongside longtime producing artistic director Cynthia Levin as the company continues to expand.
“The Unicorn is about change and growth,” comments Levin. “We expect this with our business, our productions, and with our employees. People move on and move up. I am inspired by the opportunity to explore new voices and additional energy as we move towards our 45th season.”
In addition to Crawford’s new role, the Unicorn has also announced that Raleigh Miller will step into the now vacant role of Development Director, and Kimberly Washington joins the company as Business Manager.
Board President Dr. Winnie Dunn says “Just as many of our plays invite our audiences to chart new territory, our board and staff at the Unicorn Theatre are entering into a new phase in our evolution. We have two new staff with incredible experience. It is clear that they have been working their way to us for many years, and we are so happy they found Unicorn their home.”
