StoryWorks, The HuffPost and The Living Room Theatre have announced the world premiere of TOMORROW, INSHALLAH by Rehana Lew Mirza.

Commissioned by StoryWorks, and based on the reporting of Rowaida Abdelaziz and Christopher Mathias, TOMORROW, INSHALLAH is the second collaboration between StoryWorks and The Living Room Theatre.

Directed by Jennifer Welch, the production will feature Bradley Thomas, Nedra Dixon, Ungela Syed, Teonna Wesley, Bonnie Griffin, Curtis Smith, Mathew Ellis and Brad Shaw.

The production team includes Nicole Jaja (Lighting Design), David Kiehl (Sound Design), Shawnna Journagan (Properties Design), Nancy Robinson (Costume Design), Rusty Sneary (Scenic Design), and Kyle Dyck (Scenic Design, Technical Director).

From the press release: “As immigration dominates the national conversation TOMORROW, INSHALLAH holds a mirror to the American heartland and reflects the beauty and brutality of what it means to be Muslim in America today. The play is a collage based on interviews from HuffPost reporters Rowaida Abdelaziz and Chris Mathias delving into the realities of everyday existence and one catastrophic event that exemplifies the depth of misunderstanding and distrust that in the end, affects us all.”

TOMORROW, INSHALLAH runs July 18th – August 5th at The Living Room Theater, 1818 McGee Street, Kansas City, Mo. 64108. For more information visit thelivingroomkc.com.
