Lil Theatre Company joins KC Fringe Festival with LIL’ WOMEN: A RAP MUSICAL based on the novel by Louisa Mae Alcott.
Written by Lindsay Taylor with additional book material by Sara Stock, Rebecca Siegel, and Megan Borkes, music and lyrics by Isaac Folch with additional music and lyrics by Jordan Keyes, and directed by Borkes, the production features Katie Ford (Jo March), Megan Borkes (Meg March), Tessa Folch (Beth March), Tricia Jane Wiles (Amy March), Jason Blackwater (Father), Laura Swindoll (Marmee), Bobby Johnson (Theodore Lawrence/Friedrich Bhaer), and Shawn Murphy (John Brooke).
From the press release: “Come join the March sisters as they spit rhymes, drop sick beats and kick it old school-house! LIL’ WOMEN: A RAP MUSICAL combines the classic story ‘Little Women’ with hip-hop music.”
