Olathe Civic Theatre Association has announced the casts for the next two shows in its 18/19 season, SENSE AND SENSIBILITY and SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE.
Based on Jane Austen’s classic novel, and adapted by Jon Jory, SENSE AND SENSIBILITY will be directed by Jessica Franz and feature Derrick Freeman (Colonel Brandon), Khalid Johnson (Edward Ferrars), Erika Crane Ricketts (Elinor Dashwood), Amanda Bass (Ensemble), Kyle Tichenor (John Willoughby), Jeannie Blau (Lady Middleton), Amy Reinhardt (Lucy Steele), Meghann Deveroux (Marianne Dashwood), Don Leonard (Mr. John Dashwood), Irene Blend (Mrs. Ferrars), Tracy Fox (Mrs. Henry Dashwood), Karla M. Fennick (Mrs. Jennings), Victoria Hoffman (Mrs. John Dashwood), Lauren Crane (Ms. Grey), Patrick Peterson (Robert Ferrars), and Charles Christesson (Sir John Middleton).
The creative team includes Stage Manager DK Evenson, Choreographer Valerie Martin, Set Designer Bill Wright, Lighting Designers Chuck Cline & Camille Lerch, Props Designer Rita Marks, Costume Designer Sarah Jeter, Sound Designer Erin Brown, and Dialect Coach Tamara Kingston.

With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, a book by James Lapine, and directed by Tiffany Coville-Schweigert, with music direction by Betsy Bledsoe, SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE will feature Joel Morrison (George Seurat), Victoria Strafuss (Dot/Marie), Debbie Blinn (Old Lady/Blair Daniels), Julie Fox (Nurse/Mrs./Harriet Pawling), Scott Kruse (Jules/ Bob Greenberg), Joy Richardson (Yvonne/Naomi Eisen), Spencer Thompson (Boatman/Billy Webster), Michael Golliher (Franz/Dennis), Kristen Alley (Frieda/Betty), Alec Bridges (Soldier/Alex), Matt Runnells (Louis/Lee Randolph), Christina Ray (Celeste #1/Elaine), Nancy Seeman (Celeste #2/A Photographer), Abby Morrison (Louise), with the role of Mr. Charles Redmond still to be cast.
