Faust Theatre has announced the cast and design team for BIG FISH, with a book by John August, music & lyrics by Andrew Lippa, and directed by Jeremy Jacobs.

The cast features a number of Faust Theatre veterans, including Daniel Verschelden (Edward Bloom), Mia Valentine (Sandra Bloom), Bree Patterson (Josephine Bloom), Caleb McCarroll (Don Price), Hewleek McKoy (Amos Calloway), and Lily Nicholas (the Witch), as well as Austin Skibbie (Will Bloom), Sheridan Mirardor (Karl the Giant), Vivienne Claire Luthin (Jenny Hill), Brock Olsen (Young Will), Zaid Umar (Zacky), and Paige Boomer (the Mermaid).

Along with Jacobs, who will also serve as music director, the production team includes Zach Faust (assistant director), Matthew Koehler (stage manager), Reily Harker (assistant stage manager), Breana Rowe (lighting designer), and Kenzi Parsons (choreographer).

BIG FISH moves between two timelines: In the present-day real world, sixty-year-old Edward Bloom faces his mortality while Will prepares to become a father himself. In the storybook past, Edward ages from a teenager, encountering a Witch, a Giant, a Mermaid, and the love of his life, Sandra. The stories meet as Will discovers the secret his father never revealed.

BIG FISH runs one weekend only, Jan 3 – 6 at the Arts Asylum, 1000 E. 9th Street, Kansas City, MO 64106. For more information, go to fausttheatre.com.
